SUMMARY:Wine in the Woods
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 26\, 3-6 pm\, Nature Consortium will host Wine in the Woods\, an intimate soiree at the Colman Estate in West Seattle. The event will feature local wines by NW Wine Academy and Ancestry Cellars\, live music and artist demonstrations\, and a silent auction. Proceeds from Wine in the Woods will support Nature Consortium’s ongoing arts and environmental programs. \nAt Wine in the Woods\, guests can watch four local artists create stunning original artwork\, then bid on the paintings in a silent auction. The auction will also include vacation packages\, wine tastings\, and more. The event’s featured speaker is Chris Jordan\, a Seattle-based environmental artist who is internationally acclaimed for his work. Live music will be provided by folk musician Ricky Gene Powell\, opera singer Ellaina Lewis\, and a flute ensemble from Northwest Symphony Orchestra. \nSince 1998\, Nature Consortium has produced the Arts in Nature Festival at Camp Long; brought community members together to restore habitat in the West Duwamish Greenbelt; and\, taught art classes for youth and adults in the Seattle area.
