Maddy. Jort(formerly Jort Sandwich) is a longtime blog commenter. Well known for WAY over the top anti car rants. It’s interesting to note that based on past comments moves to a different neighborhood in WS every 6 months or so and knows about traffic in WS because he drives all over. Honestly makes for entertaining reading but doesn’t sway anybody’s commuting/shopping modes. We do need to encourage non car transportation options but it’s not helpful when you read “nobody needs to drive” comments from posters to the blog that if you read all their posts turn out to own and drive cars themselves. They want you out of a car but I guess that’s so they have more room to drive their cars.

Quick update – If Jort is interested in a meet up I think the plan would be to open the invitation to anyone who is interested. But this would be a purely social meetup – not some sort of transportation debate. Thanks!

I wanna meet Jort, too!

Jort’s central point is that there is no longer space on the roads for everyone to happily drive their cars everywhere. No one has been able to refute that fact, because it is the physical reality. A lot of people have trouble dealing with actual reality.
