DESCRIPTION:Alki UCC’s Food/Clothing/Outdoor Gear Donations Drive\nThird Sunday of the month from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm\nSeptember 15\, October 20\, November 17\, December 15\, January 19\, February 16\, March 16\, April 20\, May 18\, June 15\, July 20 \nFront Courtyard/6115 SW Hinds\nalkiucc.org \nPriorities change monthly to meet special and seasonal needs — so please check our website for updates. \nThe Westside Interfaith Network (WIN)\, our donations drive partner\, requests non-perishable food/personal hygiene items as well as men’s work clothing\, socks\, work boots\, etc. Outdoor gear is always needed: blankets\, tents\, tarps\, backpacks\, etc. \nYour donations are distributed through WIN’s “Welcome Table\,” a weekly Saturday meal for unsheltered and low-income folks hosted in White Center. This distribution serves as a stop-gap for many people relying on weekly visits to the food bank. \nPlease note! Can’t make it to the monthly drive? No problem! Just leave your donations in the barrel outside the church’s front entrance … at your convenience. \nIF YOU WANT TO DONATE MORE THAN 3 BAGS\, PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS. The Big Blue Truck was a popular donation site\nin the heart of West Seattle until Covid forced its closure in 2020. Now West Seattleites\nonce again have a convenient weekend drop-off location just steps from the heart of\nAlaska Junction\,” said Michael Scalzo\, SVP of Operations at Big Blue Truck. “We are\npassionate about collecting our community’s gently used clothing items to support\nchildren and adults with disabilities.
