WSCO Concert: Side-by-Side with West Seattle Community Orchestra
Enjoy this free Side-by-Side Concert with the Seattle Symphony and West Seattle Community Orchestra. Associate Conductor Pablo Rus Broseta will conduct both orchestras in Saint-Saëns’ lively Danse macabre.
Side-by-Side Concerts provide a valuable opportunity for students to perform alongside professional musicians and are part of a continuing a tradition of coaching and mentoring young musicians from local high schools, universities and community organizations. The Side-by-Side concerts with West Seattle Community Orchestra and Roosevelt High School Orchestra each feature a young musician in a solo role, selected through the Seattle Symphony’s Young Artist Auditions.
Flutist Zoe Sheill will perform Gordeli’s Concertino for Flute and Orchestra at the Side-by-Side concert with the West Seattle Community Orchestra on October 20th.
