West Seattle authors at Camp Long Mountain Fest on Sept. 7

West Seattle authors will be giving free presentations related to the outdoors at Camp Long Mountain Fest on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Linnea Westerlind, author of Discovering Seattle Parks: A local’s guide, will talk about the best of Seattle parks and public spaces at 11:30 a.m. in the Camp Long Lodge.

Susan Elderkin, author of Best Hikes With Kids: Western Washington, will give a talk about kid-friendly hikes and outdoor adventures together with Elisa Murray, author of 52 Seattle Adventures with Kids, at 12:30 p.m. in the Lodge.

Mountain Fest is free and open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Camp Long in West Seattle. Other activities include rock climbing, ropes course challenges, games and activities related to the outdoors.
