The Family Learning Program Welcome Event

September 16, 2015 @ 11:45 am - 2:00 pm

Welcome Event @ The Family Learning Program
Location: Southwest Teen Life Center
Date: September 16th
Time: 11:45 am

The Family Learning Program is a secular learning and community-building environment for homeschooling families in Seattle and beyond. Based in West Seattle and partnering with Seattle Parks & Recreation since 2010, our program offers a wide variety of classes, clubs and community, which complement diverse homeschooling methods. FLP serves over 70 families and has become a unique, welcoming and growing presence in the Seattle homeschool community.

Our teachers are highly qualified and enjoy working with families and motivated learners in mixed-age groupings. Class sizes are small, typically capping at 8-12 students. In addition to offering fee-based classes, the program is open to all to come, play, socialize and connect with other homeschooling families. The playground, open gym and seasonal activities are free, and popular among all ages!

Our Fall Kick-Off celebration will take place at 11:45 am on Wednesday, September 16 and Friday, September 18. This is a great opportunity for newcomers curious about FLP to stop in and see what we’re all about. We’ve planned a family friendly activity to help both newcomers and returning families get better acquainted. Coffee and tea will be served and the members of the Steering Committee will be available to answer any questions. At 1 pm we’ll have a drawing for a prize. Please come and join us for a little fun to start off the year!

FLP meets on Wednesdays and Fridays, September-June, at the Southwest Teen Life Center: 2801 W. Thistle St., Seattle, 98126. For more information visit our website, http://www.flphomeschool.org.
Registration for classes is now open via SPARC (Seattle Parks & Recreation
Connection).
