Teen Space: Henna and the Best Banned Books

September 20, 2013 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Need a space to be creative and have fun? Come to Teen Space at the Southwest Branch. This month we’ll be creating temporary tattoos with Henna and creating a display for the library for Banned Books week.

Friday September 20th, 2013, 2:30–4:30 pm

Teen Space at the Southwest Branch is a time set aside just for teens ages 12-18 to meet up and hang out. Why not get out of the house for a while and head to the library? Come alone or bring your friends — then make new friends!

We’ll have snacks (a must), music, board games and supplies to do art or homework. Plus, this month we will be creating our own Henna temporary tattoos. As the tattoos dry, teens can create a display of some of the Best “dangerous” books that have been banned and challenged in honor of Banned Books Week. Some of the titles will surprise you!

We’re sure you’ll help us keep it interesting. Teen Space = a time for you to be creative and have fun, all for free.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
