Stop the Bleed–First Aid Course

Hope Lutheran Church is sponsoring a first aid course open to all.

Mass casualty events involving serious and severe injuries can happen anytime, anywhere: where you work, at the game, during your commute, or even in your home.

This free STOP THE BLEED training offers participants a chance to learn the skills to save the lives of those around them.

STOP THE BLEED classes teach participants how to:

  • Describe the progressive strategy for controlling hemorrhage
  • Apply topical hemostatic dressings
  • Pack wounds
  • Explain how early tourniquet use can control life-threatening extremity bleeding
  • Apply a tourniquet to an arm or leg.
