Friday March 1st, 7:30 pm at Kenyon Hall: An intimate concert that brings to life the beautiful songs and the amazing career of a true American treasure. Gifted vocalist/entertainers Laurie Clothier and Katherine Strohmaier are accompanied by David Duvall at the Chickering grand. You know the songs: Come On-a My House, Hey There, Botch-a-Me, This Old House, Mambo Italiano, Blues in the Night, Memories of You, You’ll Never Know, Ms. Clooney’s signature song, Tenderly, and a host of others.
“Laurie Clothier brings the seasoned sound of a long-time nightclub and stage performer, which is what Clooney was by that time,” said Michael Dresdner in South Sound Arts. David-Edward Hughes, at www.talkinbroadway.com, wrote, “The spectacular Strohmaier covers Clooney’s early career effortlessly, allowing her to sing many of the singer’s early standards.”
Reserved table seats are $14. Row seating is $12 general and $10 seniors. With a reservation, row seating is only $10 general and $8 seniors. Elementary, middle & high school students are $5. This show is not appropriate for pre-school children.
