On Saturday, August 18, 2018, the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition / TAG will host the Duwamish River Festival / Festival del Río Duwamish in the South Park neighborhood in partnership with the planning committee, ECOSS, and a diverse group of government, business, and community sponsors.
The festival is a family-friendly event and will focus on celebrating the efforts to improve the health of the Duwamish River and the communities of South Park and Georgetown! During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to: learn about the Duwamish River Superfund site; engage with interactive booths featuring environmental and community health resources and projects in the Duwamish Valley; listen and dance to performances representing diverse cultures of Georgetown and South Park; enjoy free food from local restaurants; participate in free boat and kayak tours of the river; create art reflecting the river and the community; and so much more!
WHERE: South Park neighborhood of Seattle, 7900 10th Avenue South, at Duwamish Waterway Park.
