Modern American Folk Music Marathon benefit for NAMI

March 2, 2013 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Saturday, March 2nd, 7:30 pm at Kenyon Hall: Modern American Folk Music Marathon

An evening of modern American folk playing music they enjoy. Jazz, Latin, traditional, lounge, period pieces, and some looping! Vocals, drums, trombone, acoustic/electric guitar, bass and keyboards, including an unusual accordion and a ukelele bass.

This is an evening put together by the ubiquitous keyboardist David Parker, and includes performances by Chris Brush, Rick Much, Katy Schwartz, Greg Allen, Thad Spae, and Hank Davis. It’s a benefit for NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an umbrella organization for education and support of those suffering from mental illness and their families, and for political action regarding improved access to treatment and reduction of social stigma associated with mental illness.

For this show only, seats are general admission (no table seats), and all tickets are $10.
