Re: road work today, it looked like they might be setting up to address the failed concrete panels, on the southbound bus lane of Delridge, between SW Dakota and SW Genesee.

Yes,  they started a week or so ago. It is a mess of a roadway there.  Hope it goes quick

Can you please report on the giant, really loud airplanes flying low over the city? Thanks!

There were a couple we heard earlier in the day – cloud cover tends to hold in the sound – mostly not on radar, which means likely military. One that went over while we were out walking in the noon hour was one of the refueling jets that has been making practice runs from KBFI for a couple years. Nobody’s texted and I haven’t heard anything since – TR

Betsy;WSB. Could also be commercial jets. If they’re taking off to the north from Boeing Field or SeaTac and headed south or coming into these fields to land they’re supposed to swing wide around the peninsula but living here on Alki I can attest to the fact that they sometimes do come close, or over the edge of land here and yes, they are loud enough to get your attention. Also seen them fairly low near the city headed for Boeing Field.

Commercial jets always show on flight trackers.

Sorry, comment time is over.
